The Tripura government has issued a dress code, barring government officials from wearing jeans, cargo pants, and sunglasses. In a memo, it also directed magistrates and top district officials to ensure that the dress code is followed at meetings chaired by CM Biplab Kumar Deb. The memo also said using mobile phones during meetings was disrespectful to those chairing them.
