B'desh halts currency featuring Mujibur, faces ₹10,500 crore loss

Bangladesh is grappling with a currency crisis with the central bank halting the circulation of newly printed banknotes featuring country's founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This has created shortage of clean money in the market and the financial loss is estimated to be taka 15,000 crore (around ₹10,486 crore). Reportedly, the printing process for the new notes hasn't yet begun.
