Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that Bengaluru will add 41 km to its metro network between May and December 2026, significantly improving urban connectivity. These extensions will serve key residential and business corridors, reduce commute times, ease traffic congestion, and support environmental friendly transit. The total operational length will increase from 96.1 km to 137.11 km.
