Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah announced in his Budget speech on Friday that 'Bengaluru City University' will be renamed as 'Dr Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University' after India's late PM. Government Arts College and Government RC College will be integrated as constituent colleges under the university, the CM said. Bengaluru City University was earlier known as Bengaluru Central University.
