After a 48-year association with the company, B Muthuraman, Vice-Chairman of Tata Steel, stepped down from his post, said the company on Friday. He superannuated at the age of 70, as per the company's retirement policy. Muthuraman had joined the private sector steel company in 1966 as a graduate trainee, and served as the Managing Director before getting this post.
