Mumbai-based B2B packaging marketplace Bizongo fired around 140 employees to cut costs and conserve capital in June, Entrackr reported. Bizongo confirmed the layoffs but didn't disclose the number of affected employees. Aniket Deb, Bizongo CEO, said the startup had to implement the restructuring process due to the "disruption to the economy" amid COVID-19.
