Baby elephant rescued from well in Odisha

A young injured elephant trapped inside an abandoned well in Odisha's Dhenkanal was rescued after villagers, forest officials and firefighters joined forces. The 3-4-year-old calf was found weak and bleeding near Bahandei village. After a careful operation, the elephant was pulled out safely, given first aid and shifted to an Elephant Rescue Centre for further treatment, care and observation.
