The chief of the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR), Susieben Shah, accused the Badlapur school where two minors were allegedly sexually assaulted of trying to cover up the crime. "I even asked them why POCSO provisions should not be invoked against the school management," she said. Protests broke out in Badlapur following the incident.
