Rajendra Bhandari, MLA from Uttarakhand's Badrinath, resigned from Congress on Sunday and joined BJP hours later. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and minister Piyush Goyal welcomed him into BJP at an event. "Bhandari's addition to our family will add a positive energy," Dhami said. Bhandari claimed he's inspired by the way PM Narendra Modi has been working to lead India forward.
