Punjab Civil Services officer Babandeep Singh Walia, who was at the centre of a controversy surrounding the election of the chairman of Baghapurana Block Samiti, has been transferred to Fazilka. Walia, posted as Baghapurana SDM, had recently accused his seniors and local leaders from AAP of pressing him to declare a ruling party candidate as chairman of the Block Samiti.
