Ballari SP Suman Pennaker's gunman, Devaraj, and his associate were arrested for allegedly extorting ₹3 lakh from a ration rice smuggler in Karnataka. The accused reportedly posed as members of the SP Squad and threatened to file a case unless money was paid. Following a complaint by the smuggler, police registered a case and launched an investigation.
