On World No Tobacco Day, the Jharkhand government extended the ban on the manufacture, storage and distribution or sale of 11 pan masala brands containing magnesium carbonate for the next one year. The state had in May last year imposed a prohibition in this regard in the interest of public health. Pan Parag, Shikhar, Rajnigandha are among the banned brands.
