Band-aid inventor created the bandage for his wife
short by Rini Kapoor / on Wednesday, 21 September, 2016
The Band-Aid was invented by Earle Dickson for his wife after he noticed her getting cuts and minor burns while working. Dickson created ready-made bandages by placing pieces of cotton gauze at intervals on an adhesive tape, so that strips of tape could be cut and used. Johnson & Johnson started selling the bandages under the Band-Aid brand in 1920.
