Bangladesh dengue death toll reaches 70, 805 new cases in 24 hours

Bangladesh recorded three more dengue deaths and 805 new admissions in 24 hours, taking the 2026 death toll to 70. Since January, 23,978 patients have been hospitalised, with 22,159 recovering. Dengue cases are rising sharply in Chattogram, as monsoon rains create favourable breeding conditions for Aedes mosquitoes nationwide during peak monsoon season.
