International Monetary Fund (IMF) said Bangladesh asked for an increase of $762 million in financial support amid significant macroeconomic challenges. This brings total financial assistance to Bangladesh to about $4.1 billion, IMF said. IMF had recently approved two bailout packages for Pakistan which India had objected to saying the money could be misused for financing cross-border terrorism.
