At Midnight on July 31, India and Bangladesh exchanged their respective enclaves. With this move, 51 Bangladeshi enclaves in Indian territory became Indian areas with Indian pin codes, giving nationality benefits to residents of these areas. Similarly, 111 Indian enclaves in Bangladesh became Bangladeshi territory. India transferred 17,158 acres to Bangladesh, and in turn received 7,110 acres.
