The Bangladesh government has lifted ban on IPL broadcast in the country. Bangladesh minister Zahir Uddin Swapan said, "We don't want to mix politics with sport...If any channel applies to telecast IPL, we will consider it positively." The Bangladesh government had imposed indefinite ban on IPL broadcast in January after KKR released Mustafizur Rahman after attacks on minorities in Bangladesh.
