Former Indian diplomat Anil Trigunayat warned that Bangladesh is in an "extremely delicate and dangerous" phase, stressing urgent protection for minorities and restoration of law and order. He said incidents of violence cannot be ignored and expressed hope that transparent elections on February 12 will help stabilise the country and ensure a smooth democratic transition.
