Bangladesh's Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has thanked India for its support during the country's war of independence against Pakistan in 1971. "India provided shelter, training and arms. We got all logistic support from India," the minister said. India and Bangladesh celebrate December 16 as Vijay Diwas (Victory day) to commemorate their 1971 military victory over Pakistan.
