Bangladesh government has decided to redesign passports by restoring "Except Israel" phrase and removing watermarks of historical landmarks and institutions linked with previous Awami League government. The government has also decided to remove the image of century-old Kantajew Temple located in Dinajpur. The 'Except Israel' phrase was removed when electronic passports were introduced in 2020.
