The Nifty Bank index recorded gains for second straight session on Wednesday, rising over 2.5%. Banks like Union Bank of India, AU Small Finance Bank and HDFC Bank gained 4.58%, 4.02% and 3.51% respectively as of 12:20 pm. The index had fallen over 7% in the previous three sessions before recovering and gaining about 5% over the past two sessions.
