Bank unions announce 3 pan-India strikes

United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), which claims to represent 90% of India's banking workforce, has announced a one-day nationwide banking strike on September 11 over its demand for a five-day workweek and PLI scheme's revision. UFBU has also called for a three-day strike from September 28. It threatened an indefinite strike from October 26 if its demands aren't met.
