Barnala has emerged as Punjab's top-performing district and ranked third nationally in the Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 for 2024-25. The rankings, released by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, also placed Punjab first among all states and Union Territories, highlighting the state's strong performance in school education.
