Polish long-distance swimmer Bartlomiej Kubkowski has become the first person to swim across the Baltic Sea from Sweden to Poland. He reached Dziwnow after swimming more than 160 km for around 56 hours without sleep or touching his support boat. It was his fifth attempt at the challenge, after coming within 11 km of completing it in 2025.
