The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) radio service in London on April 18, 1930 announced that "there is no news". The announcement was followed by piano music. BBC stated that the "flood of news, official or otherwise, had dried up" and listeners who tuned in on Good Friday were informed that there was no news.
