The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday asked the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to release Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman from their squad for IPL 2026. The board secretary, Devajit Saikia, stated that the decision was made due to "recent developments". This comes amid boycott calls in India after attacks on religious minorities in Bangladesh.
