BCCI have initiated talks with IPL franchises after they requested an increase in the number of player retentions for the next three seasons. As reported by Cricbuzz, the opinions of the 10 franchises are varied, but majority have asked for more retentions compared to last editions. Additionally, BCCI is also expected to increase the salary cap to INR 120 Crore.
