Beach outing ends in tragedy as man drowns in Thrissur

A 21-year-old Delhi man, Ameer, drowned after being swept away by strong waves at Thampan Kadavu beach in Thrissur. He had gone swimming with workplace friends on Monday when a powerful wave carried him away. Local fishermen found his body floating near Vadanappally early Tuesday and alerted authorities.
