Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that Centre's decision to include caste data in upcoming Census of India will mark the beginning of a new era of equality, harmony and good governance. "This is a positive step towards keeping the deprived and backward at the centre of policy-making," he said. It will help remove social, educational and economic inequalities, Pradhan added.
