Belarus said on Wednesday that its armed forces are beginning 10 days of annual "mobilisation exercises". Belarusian Defence Ministry said the exercises are aimed at assessing the degree of preparation of state institutions to mobilise reservists. Military service is mandatory for Belarusian men. Notably, this comes after Russia began shifting its nuclear weapons to the country for storage.
