Belgium's Prime Minister Bart De Wever announced that the country would acquire new nuclear reactors and halt all nuclear decommissioning activities immediately. Wever added that an agreement has been reached with French energy company Engie to retain control over the Belgian nuclear park. The agreement reverses Belgium's earlier plan to phase out nuclear power and comes amid the US-Iran war.
