BEML has signed a quadripartite MoU with Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, & Umeandus Technologies India to develop an automatic cargo evacuation system. The alliance will develop a pilot project for a real-time automatic cargo evacuation system at Machilipatnam port. The e-FTS aims to digitise and speed up cargo movement, potentially reducing dwell times at the port.
