Bengal prepares SOP for handling pregnancy cases in girls under 18

The West Bengal Health Department is preparing an SOP for handling pregnancy cases involving girls under 18. A nine-member expert committee will frame guidelines covering maternal risks, antenatal care, anaemia, malnutrition, safe delivery and post-delivery monitoring. The committee will hold its first meeting on September 18 to discuss the proposed protocol for managing adolescent pregnancies.
