Bengali writer and Sahitya Akademi award winner Prafulla Roy died in Kolkata on Thursday, following a prolonged illness. He was 91 years old. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee expressed her condolences, saying, Roy has found a permanent place in Bengali literature. She added that his books reflected the pain of refugee life and that 'Keyapatar Nouka' is his timeless novel.
