A defect was discovered in the flyover, leading to a ban on heavy vehicle traffic for nearly two-and-a-half years. National Highways Authority of India has now lifted the restriction, allowing vehicles to use the flyover with the exception of Fridays. On Fridays, from 6 am to 6 am on Saturday, heavy vehicle movement remains prohibited due to ongoing repair work.
