The Kempegowda International airport has recorded its highest-ever cargo handling in 2021 despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) said. The airport handled 4,06,688 metric tonnes (MT) of cargo in 2021, while it was 3,16,305 MT in 2020. International cargo saw a growth of 32.8% and domestic cargo grew at 21.3%, the airport added.
