Bengaluru BDA cuts house regularisation fee by 50%

The Governor has approved the Bangalore Development Authority (Amendment) Act, 2026, allowing eligible residents to regularise unauthorised houses on BDA-acquired land. The amendment reduces the regularisation fee by 50%, subject to conditions. Applicants must have at least 12 years of possession, while the maximum area eligible for regularisation is capped at 4,000 sq ft.
