Bengaluru CEO warns UPI MDR costs could hit customers

Bengaluru-based entrepreneur Siddharth Dialani warned that customers could ultimately bear UPI MDR costs. The Centre has introduced a 0.4% fee on person-to-merchant UPI transactions above ₹2,000. Dialani compared it with Swiggy and Zomato, saying added platform costs were eventually passed on to customers, sparking debate over who will absorb the new charges.
