The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has launched a ₹2.88 crore initiative to feed chicken rice to stray dogs across eight zones. Special Commissioner Suralkar Vyas said this would reduce the aggression of dogs. Notably, Congress leader Karti Chidambaram criticised this move, saying, "Feeding & keeping dogs in a free roaming state in the streets is a huge health hazard."
