Police alleged that Bengaluru-based anesthesiologist Dr Mahendra Reddy killed his wife Kruthika by injecting her with restricted anesthetic Propofol, a drug he had access to professionally. The death was initially registered as natural, but forensic analysis later revealed traces of banned substance. After a six-month investigation, he was arrested in Udupi, exposing the murder.
