Bengaluru farmer's baby bottle gourds bring ₹15 lakh monthly

Bengaluru farmer Karigowda grows baby bottle gourds on his 3.5-acre farm and sells them for around ₹50 per kg. He harvests nearly one tonne daily during the September-December season, generating up to ₹15 lakh in monthly gross revenue. Middlemen buy the gourds directly from his farm, pack them and export them to Qatar.
