The Railways and the Karnataka government have launched a joint drive to clear garbage and construction debris from railway land across Bengaluru within two months. Authorities plan to curb illegal dumping, close unauthorised access points and work with civic agencies to improve long-term waste management and prevent future encroachments. However, the penalties are yet to be finalised.
