A man in Bengaluru Rural’s Anekal taluk climbed a high-tension electric pole after a love dispute and refused to come down unless his girlfriend agreed to marry him. The incident created panic among villagers, prompting police and fire brigade action. After a tense rescue operation, he was safely brought down and later taken to hospital for medical examination and treatment.
