A Bengaluru man lost ₹56,000 after clicking on a free movie download link received on WhatsApp. The APK file contained malware that enabled cybercriminals to access his bank details and syphon money from his account. A case has been registered at Kodigehalli Police Station, and police have warned citizens against downloading suspicious files.
