Bengaluru Traffic Police have proposed a regulated carpooling framework to ease the city's worsening traffic congestion. The proposal, part of a five-point plan submitted to the Karnataka government, also suggests stricter rules for heavy vehicles, private buses and traffic violations. The state government is yet to decide whether to implement the recommendations.
