Bengaluru Police busted a gang smuggling counterfeit cigarettes worth ₹50 lakh from Southeast Asia. Five people were arrested, and 20 cartons of fake cigarettes seized. The gang imported products from Singapore, Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong, selling them across states at lower prices. Investigations into their interstate distribution and other illicit activities are ongoing.
