Bengaluru witnessed a striking 22-degree sun halo around noon, with a bright, rainbow-like ring forming around the sun. The natural optical phenomenon occurs when sunlight passes through ice crystals in high-altitude cirrostratus clouds. While sun halos can appear ahead of changing weather conditions, they do not necessarily indicate imminent rainfall.
