Karnataka CID is probing Bengaluru-based Jar under BUDS Act for offering gold savings schemes to customers on its app without obtaining regulatory approvals, Moneycontrol reported. The FIR against Jar claims it lured users to bring in new customers by offering 30-40% referral bonuses. Jar had approached Karnataka High Court to get the FIR quashed, which the court refused to do.
