A gang of thieves in Bengaluru broke into a jewellery shop in Hesaraghatta and stole 36 kg of silver worth around ₹1 crore, while leaving gold ornaments untouched. Police tracked the accused to Rajasthan and arrested three men. The alleged mastermind is still absconding. The unusual robbery has left investigators surprised due to the gang’s selective targeting of only silver.
