Bengaluru is set to reintroduce towing system to reduce severe traffic congestion caused by illegal parking and vehicle breakdowns. Greater Bengaluru Authority will provide towing vehicles to traffic police to remove obstructing vehicles. Two tow trucks will be deployed in each city zone. Officials say the move is urgent as congestion has worsened across major roads, junctions, commercial areas.
